PTE

What if you had only four weeks to prepare for the PTE Academic Test?

Consider this for a second: You have only four weeks to become an expert in different tasks across the four test modules.

And to make things worse, let’s imagine that you don’t have the time for classroom coaching.
Sounds overwhelming, right? Too little time for thorough PTE Academic preparation?

But if you have a study plan and a well-thought-out strategy, you still have a good shot at getting your desired PTE score.

In this blog post, we will share a study plan prepared by our in-house PTE Academic experts.

The PTE study plan involves free practice questions on the PTE Tutorials Mobile App. It is available for free on both Android and iOS platforms.

PTE Preparation Starts

Let's start with Mondays and Tuesdays first

Mondays and Tuesdays

For Mondays, you can start by practising with the following question types:

  • Read Aloud
  • Highlight Incorrect Words
  • Listening Fill in the Blanks
  • Summarize Spoken Text
  • Reading Fill in the Blanks
The study plan below mentions the time you need to devote when solving questions.

The column ‘Scoring and source’ shows how each task contributes to scoring and in which Module.

The beauty of the PTE Tutorials Mobile app is that its interface is very similar to that of actual PTE-A test.

Let’s say you are practising Read Aloud questions on the app. Just like in the real test, first, you get 40 seconds to prepare.

A timer keeps count.

When the 40 seconds expire, the recording begins, and you have to start speaking.

With regular practice, you will not only get used to the format of the questions but also learn to perform under pressure.

On Tuesdays, you can focus on the following question types and practice with questions on the app:

  • Write from Dictation
  • Answer Short Questions
  • Retell Lecture
  • Summarize Written Text
  • Reading and Writing Fill in the Blanks

Wednesdays and Thursdays

For Wednesdays, you only need to focus on the following tasks:

  • Repeat Sentences
  • Essay
  • Select Missing Word
  • Multiple Choice Single Answer (Reading)
  • Multiple Choice Single Answer (Listening)

Another thing you need to do on Wednesday is 4 hours of Reading.

But what do you read?

To start with, you can read the blogs on PTE Tutorials. These articles are on different topics related to the PTE Academic Test. They contain helpful tips, tricks, and strategies.

You could also read articles on other websites to build your reading skills.

On Thursday, you need to practice questions from the following question types:

  • Reorder Paragraphs
  • Highlight Correct Summary
  • Describe Image
  • Multiple Choice Multiple Answers (Reading)
  • Multiple Choice Single Answer (Reading)
The last task for Wednesday is pretty exciting!

It involves listening to different kinds of audios. What kind of audios and how exactly will it help you in the PTE exam?

In the PTE test, you can expect to get audios that have different English accents. You need to train your ear and mind to pick up different accents and understand what is being said.

So, listening to TED Talks, and watching videos in various English accents is very helpful.

Fridays and Saturdays

The weekend is the time when you take your PTE preparation to the next level. How? You achieve this by practising close to 16 hours a day with Exam Memories.

What are Exam Memories?

They are a comprehensive e-book filled with questions that have been recently asked in the PTE Academic test.

At PTE Tutorials, we update the Exam Memories every month. When you practice with Exam Memories, you improve your chances of success.

Many of our students say that they got questions from the Exam Memories materials in the actual PTE test.

Sundays

On Sundays, you can test your preparation and progress with PTE Academic Mock Tests.

Even if you follow this study schedule for only four weeks, you will most likely see an improvement in your skills. Maybe, you will also achieve your desired score.

The success of the study plan depends on PTE practice.

How effective this study plan is will depend on how much practice you get in the four weeks before the test.

Just in case, you feel the need for some external guidance, you can opt for Online PTE Coaching.

No matter where you are, our expert PTE tutors can solve your doubts and questions. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.

Best of luck with your test!
